As Director of Account Management and New Business Implementations at Cardinal Health 3PL Services, Shantese Marchbanks collaborates with biopharma sponsors to set up new partnerships and programs tailored to their unique market and product needs. By bringing together diverse Cardinal Health departmental leads, Shantese leads the development of consistent methodologies based on best practices. She leverages her certification as a Lean Six Sigma Kaizen leader to identify improvements in business practices and close gaps in operating processes. Shantese has over 10 years’ experience with Cardinal Health 3PL Services, starting in Accounts Receivables and increasing her scope of responsibility and leadership to encompass the Implementation and Account Management teams. With a background in quality, compliance and finance, Shantese understands the challenges of working in a highly regulated environment, and the high stakes of new product launches in emerging therapeutic categories like precision medicine. Shantese has been with Cardinal Health since 2006.
Brandy Vachtsevanos, Vice President of Corporate Accounts, Covis Pharma
Brandy Vachtsevanos has more than 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry focused on the payer, distribution, and patient programs. Prior to Covis, Brandy was Director of Trade Accounts and Distribution at Vivus, Inc. In this capacity, she was responsible for leading all trade and distribution activities for Vivus, including the initial limited distribution and subsequent retail launch of Qsymia, as well as for operationalizing and launching the first hub for reimbursement services at Vivus. Brandy spent most of her career with Eli Lilly & Company in a variety of roles with increasing responsibility. Prior to joining Lilly, Brandy was a chemical engineer for Honeywell Inc. in the Automation and Control Solutions business working with paper companies, oil refineries, and chemical companies.
Heather Wall, Chief Commercial Officer, Civica Rx
Heather’s expertise spans across the healthcare continuum with a focus on design, implementation and execution of hospital and health system strategies that improve patient care. Heather, one of Modern Healthcare’s “10 Women Leaders to Watch” in 2019, has a 20-year-plus career where she held positions of significant responsibility for strategy, operations and finance, including various roles in hospital management, quality, strategy and high-value healthcare delivery. In 2019, Civica Rx’s first full year in operation, Heather led Civica’s Health System Membership Relationships team as it grew its membership to include over 45 health systems, representing 1,200 hospitals across the US, and delivered its first essential medications to market to address drug shortages. By December, 18 Civica medications were in production, with many more to come, thanks to ongoing team collaboration with health system pharmacy leaders and clinicians who help prioritize the medications Civica makes. Prior to joining Civica, Heather worked at Intermountain Healthcare as an Enterprise Initiative Partner and was responsible for driving forward Intermountain’s key strategic initiatives. Before this position, Heather was the Operations Officer for Intermountain Healthcare’s LDS Hospital, with accountability for hospital-wide operations, strategic growth and high-value healthcare delivery.
