Best Places to Work 2015

ARLINGTON, Va. — For the fifth year in a row, the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) has been named one of the 2015 Best Places to Work in Virginia by Virginia Business magazine and Best Companies Group.

“We are thrilled to be recognized as a best place to work for a fifth consecutive year,” said HDMA President and CEO John M. Gray. “The quality of our educational programs and our recent legislative successes on Capitol Hill are byproducts of the environment that we have created at HDMA that allows our staff to deliver high-quality services to our members each and every day.

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state's economy, workforce and businesses. Including HDMA, the 2015 Best Places to Work in Virginialist is made up of 100 companies. To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
  • Be a publicly or privately held business;
  • Have a facility in the Commonwealth of Virginia;
  • Have at least 15 employees working in Virginia; and,
  • Be in business a minimum of one year.

Companies from across the Commonwealth completed a two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Virginia. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience.
