H.R. 471 Approved by House Energy and Commerce Committee

ARLINGTON, Va. — HDMA President and CEO John M. Gray issued the following statement following the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s approval of the Ensuring Patient Access and Effective Drug Enforcement Act of 2015 (H.R. 471). The legislation is sponsored by Reps. Tom Marino (R-Pa.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Peter Welch (D-Vt.) and Judy Chu (D-Calif).

We thank Chairman Upton, the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the bill sponsors for their commitment to strengthening the relationship between pharmaceutical supply chain and regulatory stakeholders to help reduce prescription drug abuse and diversion.”
