HDA Adds Two Staff Members to State Government Affairs Team

October 19, 2016

ARLINGTON, Va. — The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA, formerly HDMA) today announces the hiring of two new members to its State Government Affairs team.

Matthew J. DiLoreto has joined the organization as its new Vice President, State Government Affairs. In this position, he will lead HDA’s state government affairs activities, working with HDA pharmaceutical distributor members to develop and implement statewide legislative and regulatory strategies on issues affecting the supply chain. DiLoreto most recently was Senior Director, State Government Affairs, for the National Community Pharmacists Association, and worked in government relations for the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association and Pennsylvania Dental Association. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Leah Lindahl is HDA’s new Senior Director, State Government Affairs, Western Region. Lindahl, who works remotely from the Denver area, served most recently as Vice President for the Colorado BioScience Association, and was a federal lobbyist for The Kenney Group. She is a graduate of Colorado State University.

“We welcome Matt and Leah into their new roles in HDA State Government Affairs,” said John M. Gray, President and CEO, HDA. “Over the past few years HDA has intensified our advocacy efforts in the states. Both Matt and Leah bring enormous talent and experience that will help reaffirm our pharmaceutical distributor members’ critical role in ensuring medications and products reach those who need them, both safely and efficiently.”

The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) represents primary pharmaceutical distributors — the vital link between the nation’s pharmaceutical manufacturers and pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics and others nationwide. Since 1876, HDA has helped members navigate regulations and innovations to get the right medicines to the right patients at the right time, safely and efficiently. The HDA Research Foundation, HDA’s nonprofit charitable foundation, serves the healthcare industry by providing research and education focused on priority healthcare supply chain issues.
