HDA is One of The Best Places to Work in Virginia for the Eighth Year in a Row

February 1, 2018

ARLINGTON, Va. — The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) was named one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia by Virginia Business magazine and Best Companies Group.

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state's economy, workforce and businesses. This marks HDA’s eighth straight appearance in the list of more than 50 companies in the “Small Employer” category.

“Every year we set high goals to maintain the happiness and commitment of our employees,” said HDA President and CEO John M. Gray. “To be honored once again with this award encourages us to maintain a positive working environment for our staff as we expand the spectrum of our services for the benefit of HDA members.”

To be considered for participation, companies entered a two-part survey process that measured employee satisfaction and experience based on eight core focus areas, including company leadership, resources, job satisfaction and more.

Winning organizations had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
  • Be a publicly or privately held business;
  • Have a facility in the state of Virginia;
  • Have at least 15 employees working in the Commonwealth of Virginia; and,
  • Be in business a minimum of one year.

HDA and the other winning organizations were formally announced at an awards luncheon held today in Charlottesville, Va.
