ARLINGTON, Va. — The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) recognized Scott Mooney of McKesson Corporation with the 2019 Distribution Management Award for Industry Leadership. The award, which honors an individual for their extraordinary contributions to the healthcare distribution industry, was presented today at HDA’s Distribution Management Conference in Palm Desert, Calif.
As Vice President of Distribution Operations for McKesson, Mr. Mooney serves as operational head of the McKesson “traceability team,” and he is responsible for implementation of the 2013 Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) in collaboration with key supply chain trading partners. “As a traceability pioneer, Scott has shown tremendous dedication to engaging trading partners on establishing innovative, yet workable, industry-wide DSCSA compliance solutions. His legacy will live on far beyond the 2023 implementation date,” said HDA President and CEO John M. Gray. “HDA is pleased to recognize his service to the Alliance and the industry, while celebrating the collaborative spirit that embodies the DMA for Industry Leadership.”
Mr. Mooney serves as co-chair of HDA’s Industry Relations Council and is actively engaged on distribution issues as a member of the Traceability Implementation Work Group, as well as the Regulatory Affairs and Federal and State Government Affairs Committees. He also is tri-chair of the GS1 Global Healthcare Leadership Team and is a member of the GS1 US Healthcare Executive Leadership Committee.
