HDA Research Foundation Announces its First Scholarship Recipients

The HDA Research Foundation recently announced the selection of four inaugural recipients for its graduate-level scholarship. Established in conjunction with HDA’s Convene, the scholarship, sponsored by Teva Pharmaceuticals, is available annually to individuals with at least two years of service working within HDA-member distributor and manufacturer companies.

The recipients include:

Andy Lam 
Associate Software Engineer
Upsher-Smith Laboratories, LLC
Master of Science in Computer Science | Metropolitan State University

Molly Manuse
Segment Marketing Manager
McKesson Medical-Surgical
Master of Business Administration | University of Richmond

Michael Morand 
Senior Manager, SC Customer Solutions
Johnson & Johnson 
Doctorate in Business Administration | Temple University

Recipients submitted an essay and other materials, including a letter of recommendation or other support from their supervisor, to demonstrate how the funds would benefit their growth within his or her organization and contribute to the efficiency of the supply chain and the patients it serves. 

The next application period for the HDA Research Foundation Scholarship Program will open on May 1, 2019. For additional information and eligibility requirements, visit www.hda.org/scholarship.

HDA Convene Program

The Foundation scholarship is just one initiative of the Convene program, which is home to HDA’s career-building endeavors, including:

Emerging Leaders: A program intended for supply chain professionals 39 years old or younger.

HDA Mentoring Program: Establishes mentor-mentee relationships between industry professionals, at all stages of their careers.

Women’s Executive Forum: A network of female professionals brought together to discuss issues of common interest in the workplace.

Webinars and Education Sessions: On-demand webinars, hosted free of charge to HDA members and in-person events at HDA conferences and seminars, highlight such topics as communication styles, influence and leadership.
