    Today, Attorney General Sam Olens announced the winners of the “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” video contest aimed at preventing prescription drug abuse among teens at George Walton Comprehensive High School (Walton) in Marietta, Ga. The winning video was produced by Walton students Adam Schmidt and Vaughn Smith. The runner-up was produced by River Ridge High School students Logan Case and Raven Anthony. The people’s choice award winner was produced by Columbus High School student Ekta Parab.

  • HDMA Factbook: $305 Billion in Pharmaceutical Sales Delivered Through Primary Distributors

    Pharmaceutical sales through HDMA-member traditional primary distributors reached nearly $305 billion in 2013, according to the 85th Edition HDMA Factbook (2014-2015), published by HDMA’s non-profit research foundation, the Center for Healthcare Supply Chain Research. This number reflects a nearly 2 percent increase from the previous year. Additionally, more than 90 percent of pharmaceutical sales are completed through HDMA pharmaceutical distributors.

  • Center for Healthcare Supply Chain Research and AACP Partner to Educate Future Pharmacists on Specialty Distribution

    The Center for Healthcare Supply Chain Research, HDMA’s non-profit research foundation, and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the national organization representing the interests of pharmacy education, are partnering to provide the nation’s schools of pharmacy a supply chain educational tool surrounding the distribution of specialty pharmaceuticals. This teaching resource was released today in conjunction with a webinar jointly hosted by the Center and AACP. The webinar was made possible through the support of the Cardinal Health Foundation.
