    Nearly 94 percent (about $407 billion) of total pharmaceuticals sales in the U.S. were channeled through HDA-member pharmaceutical distributors in 2015, according to a new report by the HDA Research Foundation (formerly The Center for Supply Chain Research). The Foundation, the 501(c)(3) of the Healthcare Distribution Alliance, released the new findings in its 87th Edition HDA Factbook: The Facts, Figures and Trends in Healthcare (2016-2017).

The seminar will host supply chain leaders — including distributors, manufacturers, pharmacists, third-party logistics providers — as well as federal/state regulators to discuss upcoming milestones and lessons learned as they continue to implement the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

    The HDA Research Foundation (formerly the Center for Healthcare Supply Chain Research) today announces the appointment of Perry L. Fri as its Chief Operating Officer. He assumes leadership of the Foundation, the 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization of the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA, formerly HDMA), from Karen J. Ribler, who retired at the end of September.
