Josh Smeraldi is with U.S. EPA’s Office of Resource Conservation and Recovery in Washington, DC. He has been with the Agency for 1 year, working primarily on hazardous waste issues.
Prior to joining EPA, he worked as a graduate researcher for George Washington University and D.C. Water and his research investigated removal efficiencies of carbon in high rate biological reactors.
He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from University of California, Irvine and his doctoral research investigated the fate of manufactured and biogenic nanoparticles in wastewater treatment processes.
