The EDI 844 is being revised/republished to provide improved support for 340b claim transactions, with the addition of Bill-to & Sold-To business entities alongside the existing ship-to entity code. This new feature allows for both the covered entity and the contract pharmacy to be listed in the claim detail. The pharmacy license number has also been added as another way to identify detailed parties to transactions. These changes can be found in the detail section of the 844.
