HDA Statement on U.S. District Court Ruling in Huntington and Cabell County, West Virginia
July 07, 2022ARLINGTON, Va. — The Healthcare Distribution Alliance released the following statement on the ruling by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia regarding the litigation in Huntington and Cabell County.
“We are pleased with the ruling by U.S. District Judge David A. Faber, which affirmed that pharmaceutical distributors do not bear responsibility for the opioid crisis in Cabell County and the City of Huntington. Our industry works each day in tandem with supply chain partners as well as federal and state authorities to ensure a safe and secure distribution channel for all prescription medicines across the United States — and we remain committed to advancing meaningful educational initiatives to address the misuse and abuse of prescription opioids.”
