Ariella Camera Joins HDA as Senior Director of Policy
June 23, 2025The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) announces the addition of Ariella Camera as Senior Director of Policy. In this role, Ms. Camera will inform policy development on key issues impacting the healthcare distribution industry and report to HDA’s Chief Policy Officer, Dr. Nicolette Louissaint.
“Ariella brings over a decade of global experience in public health and health policy into her role. Her strong track record of driving strategic initiatives and managing portfolios will benefit our healthcare distributor members,” said Dr. Louissaint. “We are thrilled to welcome her to HDA.”
Before joining HDA, Ms. Camera served as Deputy Director of Primary Health Care at the United States Agency for International Development’s Global Health Bureau, where she led efforts to advance primary healthcare across 17 countries in partnership with the World Bank. Earlier in her career, Ms. Camera worked at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services where she played a key role in launching the federal insurance marketplace under the Affordable Care Act.
She began her federal service at the VA Hospital in Boston, supporting clinical research initiatives. She is also an AmeriCorps Community Health and Presidential Management Fellow alumnus.
Ms. Camera received her BS in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University and holds an MA in Policy and Management with a focus on Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University.
