Julie Galloway Mabeus Joins HDA as Director of Policy

The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) announces Julie Galloway Mabeus as its new Director of Policy. In this role, Ms. Galloway Mabeus will inform policy development on priority issues impacting the healthcare distribution industry and report to HDA’s Chief Policy Officer, Dr. Nicolette Louissaint.

“Julie brings more than a decade of Medicare and Medicaid policy experience, with an understanding of what issues directly influence safe and reliable access to healthcare at the state and national levels,” said Dr. Louissaint. “Her leadership and insight will strengthen HDA’s work on behalf of our healthcare distributor members. We are pleased to welcome her to the team.”

Before HDA, Ms. Galloway Mabeus served as Lead, Health Program Analysis and Transformation at MITRE, where she assessed policies to improve health programs. Previously, she was the senior manager of policy and regulatory affairs at The Society of Thoracic Surgeons and served as a senior policy analyst and program manager at MassHealth. Earlier in her career, she worked as a health policy manager at the Medical Society of Virginia.

Ms. Galloway Mabeus earned her Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Tech and her Master of Public Policy, with an emphasis in Global Medical and Health Policy, from George Mason University.
