HDA Recommends a Phased Approach to Implementing the Final Requirements of the DSCSA
The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) is recommending to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) a phased approach to final implementation of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) to minimize the potential for supply disruptions and interruptions to patient care. The proposal was communicated through a recent letter to FDA.
HDA and PCSC Announce Launch of GDP Accreditation Program
The HDA announced the launch of its Good Distribution Practices (GDP) Accreditation Program through the association’s Pharmaceutical Cargo Security Coalition (PCSC) at the annual PCSC Educational Seminar held in Whippany, N.J. ASC Associates Ltd, a European-based firm with extensive experience developing and implementing GDP training programs consistent with those in Europe, the only recognized standards globally, will help administer the program.
New HDA Resources Available: Recall Guidelines and Standard Product Form
Earlier this month, HDA published two new resources for supply chain stakeholders to ensure the proper handling of new products moving through the supply chain and removal of products that are recalled or need to be withdrawn.
