She has held varying roles across the med and pharma segments with broad experience including sourcing, procurement, IT business transformation leadership, and inventory management.

She is a passionate people leader, focused on driving strong results and developing current and future leaders. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in French Horn Performance from Capital University and an MBA with focus in Organizational Leadership from Franklin University.

Natalie is a mother of two sons, Ben (17) and Oliver (13) and stepmother to her husband Ryan’s daughter Emma (20) and twins, Jack and Ellie (17). She is a fitness enthusiast and music lover, supporting her children in their musical endeavors.

Chris has been with Cardinal Health since 1987 in Quality and Regulatory Affairs, at both the field and corporate levels, responsible for wholesale drug distribution compliance. Over the past ten years, he has built a quality system supporting the Pharmaceutical Distribution business.

Chris led the development of the current innovative and sustainable cold chain packaging process for Cardinal Health that has been recognized through the industry through various awards, speaking invitations and publications.

In his quality role, Chris has regulatory responsibility for the quality systems that support compliance, temperature management and DSCSA regulatory support.

Chris was a member of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Packaging and Distribution Expert Committee Member.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Norwich University in Political Science and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Behavior.

Christopher Antypas is currently serving as President at Asti's South Hills Pharmacy, a retail pharmacy that is pushing the boundaries of community pharmacy practice. A native of Pittsburgh, Chris earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, and has extensive experience in a variety of pharmacy practice settings. In addition to his role at Asti's, he owns and operates 2 additional pharmacies in Pittsburgh, PA that each serve a unique patient population. His pharmacies include a specialty pharmacy that supports patients suffering from complex conditions by providing specialty therapies, as well as a long-term care pharmacy that services patients residing in a facility.

In addition to his experience as a business owner, manager, and clinician, Chris is practicing as a pharmacy consultant and adviser. He is presently the Director of Pharmacy Solutions for Henderson Brothers, Inc., an insurance and benefits brokerage/consulting firm in Pittsburgh. In this role, Chris helps to support large, self-funded employers manage their pharmacy benefit with thoughtful and innovative strategies.

Chris currently serves as a board member of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association and also sits on the advisory board for both Value Drug Company and Prescribe Wellness. He has been named as a Luminary for The Community Pharmacy Enhanced Service Network (CPESN) as well as The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Care Network (PPCN), and in this capacity, he is helping to reshape community pharmacy practice with innovation and cutting-edge pharmacy care. Known for his commitment to advance pharmacy practice, Chris has been invited to speak nationally and regionally on a variety of pharmacy topics. Chris was recently honored to be named the 2019 ‘Pharmacist of the Year’ by the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association, and in October of 2020, Chris was named the 'Next Generation Pharmacist - Entrepreneur of the Year'.

Pharmacy has been a life's passion for Chris, and when he's not solving medication related problems, he enjoys every minute with his wife and 3 children in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.

Maurice Ashley made history in 1999 when he became the first African American chess grandmaster. He is a three-time national championship coach, author of Chess for Success: Using an Old Game to Build New Strengths in Children and Teens, ESPN commentator, iPhone app designer, puzzle inventor and motivational speaker.

Maurice is well known for providing dynamic live tournament coverage of world-class chess competitions and matches. His high-energy, unapologetic and irreverent commentary combines Brooklyn street smarts with professional ESPN-style sports analysis. He has covered every class of elite event, including the World Chess Championships, the US Chess Championships, the Grand Chess Tour, and the legendary “man vs. machine” matches between Garry Kasparov and IBM’s Deep Blue.

Traveling the world as an ardent spokesperson for the many character-building effects of chess, Maurice shares how chess principles and strategies can be applied to improve business practices and assist with personal growth. Maurice also acts as a master of ceremonies and inspirational speaker at business conferences and high-class chess events.

Maurice has received multiple community service awards from city governments, universities and community groups for his work. In recognition of his immense contribution to the game, he was inducted into the US Chess Hall of Fame in 2016 and the Brooklyn Technical High School Hall of Fame in 2018.

Josh Bolin serves as the Associate Executive Director for Federal Affairs and Strategy for the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). Since joining NABP in 2005, Josh has worked on development of PMP InterConnect, multiple pharmacy accreditation and inspection programs, including accreditation programs for durable medical equipment and specialty pharmacy, and inspection programs for the prescription drug supply chain, sterile and nonsterile compounding and nuclear pharmacy. Josh also worked with NABP’s member boards of pharmacy to develop NABP’s Universal Inspection form and Multistate Inspection Blueprint, which are tools to assist the boards of pharmacy in conducting uniform inspections of sterile compounding facilities. Josh is currently working with NABP member boards of pharmacy on uniform processes and tools with respect to the DSCSA.

Special Agent Dan Burke started his federal law enforcement career with the IRS-Criminal Investigation Division in 1995. In 1997, he transferred to the U.S. Customs Service where he primarily investigated on-line child pornography, drug and financial investigations. In 2002, he was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent for U.S. Customs, which is now known as ICE’s-Homeland Security Investigations, where he managed a Financial Investigations Task Force. In 2005, Dan joined FDA’s Office of Criminal Investigations (OCI).

During his career, Dan has completed a number of successful cybercrime investigations spanning the globe and is also part of OCI’s cadre of digital forensics specialists. In 2012, Dan was promoted to Manager of the Cybercrimes Investigation Unit (CcIU) and also began the development of OCI’s international expansion and liaison efforts. In 2019, Dan was promoted to manager of the Cyber Operations Branch and currently oversees OCI’s Digital Forensics, Cybercrime Investigations and Technical Surveillance Units. Dan has attained a variety of certifications in the field of digital and cyber-forensics, is listed on the United Nations Security Council Roster of Experts and has testified before the U.S. Senate on behalf of the FDA. He holds a master's degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Colorado-Denver where he is currently a member of their adjunct faculty.

Trailblazing Engineer of the famed Mars Rover ‘Perseverance’ Mission for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory

A real life “Guardian of the Galaxy,” Dr. Moogega “Moo” Cooper holds the awesome responsibility of keeping the red planet safe from any of the Earth’s contaminants. Moo is the planetary protection lead of the famed NASA 2020 Mars mission — with its highly viewed landing on February 18, 2021. Her work with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is integral to the ongoing mission to discern whether Mars could be habitable for humans and that we don’t harm what’s already there — a job she has been working up to for most of her life.

After graduating from high school at 16, Cooper studied physics as an undergraduate, received a master's degree and went on to earn her PhD in mechanical engineering at 24 years old with a dissertation on spacecraft materials.

Moo is passionate about empowering organizations and others to achieve their dreams and overcome obstacles that she articulately conveys through her life story and love of her work. A role model for women in science and technology, she is also passionate about introducing more people to the wonders of the STEAM world, including by talking about her work to boys and girls from underrepresented communities and appearing on shows like Because Space and Bill Nye Saves the World.

Moo is a recipient of several awards, including the NASA Early Career Public Achievement Medal, the Charles Elachi Award for Exceptional Early Career Achievement and JPL Voyager Awards for Technical Leadership.

Larry Cote is one of the nation’s foremost Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) compliance attorneys. He focuses his practice on counseling clients across the spectrum of regulatory compliance and enforcement issues involving the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). Having spent six and a half years heading up a national law firm’s DEA Compliance and Litigation Practice Group, Larry took the practice to his own firm, Cote Law PLLC, in 2018. Immediately before his law firm tenure, Larry was associate chief counsel for the Diversion and Regulatory Litigation Section at DEA. In this position, he took a prominent role in many of DEA’s most significant enforcement actions and compliance efforts.

Tom Cotter, MPH, serves as executive director of Healthcare Ready, bringing more than a decade of global health readiness and response expertise to expand nonprofit’s mission-driven work addressing health equity. Healthcare Ready is a nonprofit organization established in 2007 to help strengthen the US healthcare system and assist all communities in planning for, responding to, and recovering from disasters and disease pandemics.

Over his 15-year career as a public health and emergency management professional, Cotter has piloted and launched innovative international strategies to localize emergency response operations and build sustainable response functions worldwide. Most recently, Cotter served as the director of emergency response and preparedness for Project HOPE, a renowned global health and humanitarian relief organization. Prior to that role, he developed and managed public health and emergency response programs in several countries for non-profit organizations.

Cotter’s educational background is heavily focused on public health and emergency response. He has a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University School of Public Health and a certificate from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Cotter received his Bachelor of Arts in Public and Community Service Studies at Providence College in Rhode Island and attended the University of the Philippines as part of an international research team focused on the socioeconomic determinants of health. Cotter has also served as an emergency response coordinator for the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services since 2013.

Chester “Chip” Davis, Jr., JD, is the President and Chief Executive Office of HDA and President of the HDA Research Foundation. HDA is the national association representing pharmaceutical distributors — the vital link between the nation’s 1,400 manufacturers and nearly 330,000 sites of care. Mr. Davis oversees HDA’s day-to-day
operations and is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s members have a strong advocacy voice in legislation, regulation and policy.

Mr. Davis joined HDA in March 2020 from the Association of Accessible Medicines (AAM), the nation’s leading trade association for manufacturers of generic and biosimilar medicines, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer since 2015. Prior to AAM, Mr. Davis held leadership roles at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and AstraZeneca, where in 2007 he was recognized as one of the
inaugural winners of the CEO Leadership Award.

Mr. Davis earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

With over 30 years of experience in the wholesale distribution business, Jeff has held positions of increasing responsibility in finance, procurement, contracts and chargebacks as well as Information Technology.

Over the last 13 years, Jeff has been very involved in a variety of aspects around the supply chain security initiative. In addition, he has participated in numerous standards-activities within HDA and GS1-US/Global.

His current responsibilities include Enterprise IT solutions for AmerisourceBergen’s Global Secure Supply Chain program. Jeff serves at the IT lead and is the key liaison across all of the various business units – aligning implementation with standardization.

Anita T. Ducca is HDA’s Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. She serves as the chief liaison and advocate on behalf of HDA with federal regulatory agencies, including FDA and DEA. She has been with the organization since 2002. Prior to joining HDA, Ducca was the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the American Red Cross Biomedical Services (ARC), where she was responsible for internal and external regulatory, compliance and health and safety. Anita also served in a regulatory advocacy capacity for the American Petroleum Institute. Earlier, she has also served on the staff of several federal regulatory agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration, the Office of Management and Budget and the Environmental Protection Agency. Ducca has a BA in Mathematics from Boston College and a MS in Biostatistics from Georgetown University.

Dr. Heather Easterling is a Senior Managing Consultant for 340B Solutions at McKesson. Her primary responsibilities include engaging with health system customers to optimize their 340B program and implementing McKesson 340B strategy.

Prior to McKesson, Dr. Easterling served as the System Administrative Officer of Pharmacy Services at MUSC Health in Charleston, SC, Clinical Associate Dean of Medical Center Affairs for the MUSC College of Pharmacy, and Director of Pharmacy Graduate Education for residency programs.

Dr. Easterling earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and a Master’s in Business Administration from The Citadel Graduate College. She also completed a 24-month pharmacy practice management residency.

Dr. Easterling’s main area of experience is in health system pharmacy operations and promoting the profession through expansion of clinical pharmacy services. She has extensive knowledge of the 340B program and using the program’s benefit to promote health care services to the underserved.

Chuck Forsaith is the Vice President of the Healthcare Distribution Alliance’s Pharmaceutical Cargo Security Coalition (PCSC), which offers supply chain security intelligence; access to contacts from industry, government, and vendor trade disciplines; as well as education opportunities to its membership. The Coalition, which Forsaith formed in 2006, brings together professionals from a wide variety of disciplines, to monitor the security of pharmaceutical goods in transit and storage, all over the world. The PCSC became part of HDA in 2017.
Forsaith has been involved in pharmaceutical supply chain security for more than 20 years, following a career as both a New Hampshire municipal and State Police officer. He also, directed security operations for a United States military intelligence gathering installation.

He has lectured both domestically and internationally in the disciplines of supply chain and site security for such organizations as the Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, the Central Intelligence Agency, United States Customs, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, the Partnership for Safe Medicines, ASIS and TAPA. He is an active member of the American Society of Industrial Security, the Transported Asset Protection Association, the Overseas Security Advisory Council and the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators.

She is responsible for federal legislative advocacy where she develops and maintains relationships with key congressional legislators and their staff, as well as conducts direct lobbying in support of association policies and positions. Kristen also is responsible for fostering relationships with supply chain stakeholders to develop alliances supporting safe and reliable healthcare distribution in the U.S. Further, Kristen oversees the HDA Political Action Committee (PAC) and grassroots activities.

Prior to joining HDA, Freitas worked as Manager, Government Affairs for PacifiCare Health Systems, and before that, for a specialty nursing association and for the National Association for Chain Drug Stores (NACDS). Prior to NACDS, she served as a Director of Outreach for a former Member of Congress.

Elizabeth A. Gallenagh is the General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Integrity at the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA). Gallenagh also serves as HDA’s primary expert on prescription drug traceability, supply chain safety and integrity, distributor licensure and tax issues.

Since joining HDA, Ms. Gallenagh led the Alliance's industry-wide efforts to replace a 50-state patchwork of pedigree laws with one national traceability solution, which became a reality through the enactment of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) in November 2014. In 2014, she was honored by the industry with the Distribution Management Award for Industry Leadership, which honors an individual who has exhibited the highest standards of honesty and integrity, working to enhance industry relations and knowledge, as well as supply chain efficiency and security.

At GSK, Gregg held positions ranging from Analytics Reporting Manager in R&D Clinical Operations, Data Lead for the US SAP implementation, and Director of Data Quality in the Transparency Data Operations & Reporting team in Pharma Finance. Prior to GSK, Gregg worked for 6 years at Pfizer in Global Logistics & Supply in the Enterprise Data Management group focused on SAP Material Master.

As CDO, Devray has led the development and implementation of a comprehensive, enterprise-wide diversity strategy through related programs, initiatives, and projects. He also provides direction to business segments on tactical programs and systems related to attracting, retaining, and promoting a diverse workforce. In partnership with the Cardinal Health Executive Committee and Diversity & Inclusion Council, Devray fosters critical dialogue and strategic counsel across the business to progress and sustain an inclusive work culture. He was integral in the formation of both the D&I Council and employee resource groups at Cardinal Health.

Rooted in community and servant leadership, Devray sits on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association of Central Ohio and the Board of Trustees for the Mount Carmel College of Nursing. He is a long-serving member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He has also volunteered his time as a youth football coach in Westerville, Ohio, and for Dublin Scioto High School.

Leah Lindahl is Vice President of State Government Affairs for HDA. In this role, Lindahl provides leadership and oversight for HDA’s state legislative and regulatory activities, advocating for sound public policy that supports patient access to medicines and medical products through safe, efficient and effective distribution. Previously, she covered a 19-state region across the western U.S., most recently as Senior Director of State Government Affairs.

Prior to joining HDA in 2016, Lindahl was the Vice President of the Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA). In this role, Lindahl ensured the bioscience industry was represented to its fullest potential by managing the association’s strategic planning and implementation of public policy initiatives on the state and federal level, sponsorship retention and expansion, program planning and overall membership development activities. Before joining CBSA, Lindahl was an account executive with The Kenney Group, a regional political consulting firm, where she managed healthcare, patient advocacy and the life science industry.

Doug is the recipient of several industry achievement awards –the IFPW (International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers) Leadership award (2016), the Harold W. Pratt Award, bestowed by the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (2012); the Nexus Award for Lifetime Achievement by the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (2004); and, IMS Health’s prestigious Summit Award (2003) and the Chinese Association of Pharmaceutical Commerce 2017 Award for his contributions to the Chinese Supply Chain.

Prior to IQVIA, Doug was at Nielsen Market Research for 16 years in sales and marketing capacities. A native of Illinois, Doug received a BA from DePauw University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Dr. Nicolette Louissaint serves as the Senior Vice President for Policy and Strategic Planning for the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA). In this role, she leads HDA’s efforts to build policies and strategic approaches to bolster supply chain resilience and reinforce the role of healthcare distributors in the healthcare ecosystem.

She previously served as the Executive Director and President of Healthcare Ready, a 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on strengthening the United States’ healthcare supply chain preparedness and response before, during and after natural disasters and disease pandemics. Under her leadership, Healthcare Ready strengthened its position as a facilitator and coordinator that improves our nation's ability to plan for and respond to threats that disrupt patient access to healthcare during crises, including COVID-19.

Prior to this, Dr. Louissaint served as the Senior Advisor to the U.S. Department of State’s Special Coordinator for Ebola during the height of the 2014 epidemic. In this role, she was responsible for coordinating international efforts and jumpstarted the diplomatic response to the epidemic. Earlier in her career, Nicolette served as a Foreign Affairs Officer in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs. As the lead officer for health intellectual property and trade issues, she developed on policies and strategies related to pharmaceutical counterfeiting, pharmaceutical trade, supply chain, climate change and other science and technology development issues.

Dr. Louissaint previously served on the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Advisory Council in 2019 and chaired the Equity Working Group. Her current roles also include serving on Baltimore City’s Sustainability Commission, as a board member of Project HOPE, and as a Co-Chair of theHealthcare and Public Health Sector Coordinating Council. In 2020, Dr. Louissaint was named one of The Root 100 Most Influential African Americans.

She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University, a PhD in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and an MBA from the University of Baltimore. She completed post-doctoral fellowships at the Johns Hopkins University and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

In her role at VDC, she developed a regulatory affairs program across departments and additionally developed the DSCSA suspect and illegitimate product investigation system. A proven risk manager and ethical strategist, Julie has maintained VDC’s accreditation status through the NABP Drug Distributor program. With the ability to synthesize complex policy and high velocity issues Julie has contributed to compliant business operations and profitability. She has been an active member at HDA serving on several committees including the Technology Implementation Work Group. With over 20 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, she served on the budget and policy staff for former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, as well as an Executive Director for several state licensing boards within the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Tracy Nasarenko, vice president of Community Engagement at GS1 US for Healthcare, is an accomplished leader with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and pharmaceutical supply chain, finance, product management, marketing, and operations.

In her current role, Ms. Nasarenko leads a collaborative healthcare industry group focused on addressing supply chain challenges and meeting the requirements of regulations like the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA). Using GS1 Standards, the most widely used supply chain standards in the world, Ms. Nasarenko guides the implementation of these standards to help the pharmaceutical industry deliver safe products to patients.

Prior to joining GS1 US, Ms. Nasarenko held several leadership positions with SPI Pharma Inc. Most recently, she served as a site general manager, overseeing end-to-end operations and performance of the entire team, where she built a culture of engagement, innovation, and collaboration.

Ms. Nasarenko earned her bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and received her Master of Business Administration from West Chester University.

She is regulatory counsel to drug, cosmetic, dietary supplement and food clients with concerns before the Food and Drug Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, and other federal agencies. Her work has encompassed representation of companies making and marketing human and animal prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, dietary supplements, and cosmetics. She has particular expertise in the areas of health care communications, advertising and labeling of FDA-regulated products. Further, she advises trade association clients on a range of antitrust and trade regulation issues.

Since November 2013, Tish has been heavily involved with implementation of the Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA). She has advised pharmacy compounders and outsourcing facilities on their new FDA responsibilities under Title I of the DQSA. She has worked closely with pharmaceutical supply chain stakeholders, including manufacturers, repackagers, and wholesale distributors, on implementation of Title II of the DQSA, the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

John currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing for the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA), the national organization representing pharmaceutical distributors and the healthcare supply chain. Prior to joining HDA, John spent nearly a decade in communications leadership roles with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and UnitedHealth Group. His work in the health insurance industry was preceded by a stint at the Association of American Medical Colleges, where he served as the primary spokesperson with the media on key issues in academic medicine and managed the association's external publications. John’s initial exposure to communications was as an editor and reporter for one of the leading publishers of trade newsletters following FDA and its regulation of the drug and device industries and NIH.

John serves on the Board of Directors of the Arlington Free Clinic, an organization in northern Virginia dedicated to providing healthcare services to uninsured and underinsured adults.

In his role, Senthil leads the global strategy and implementation for serialization and product traceability for pharmaceutical products and Unique Device Identification implementation for medical devices. Senthil coordinates with the Lilly’s affiliate offices, packaging sites, engineering and IT teams to implement the right solutions to ensure compliance with serialization/UDI marking and reporting requirements.

Senthil has been with Eli Lilly and Company for 20 years. Senthil’s key expertise includes packaging line equipment and systems, warehousing, distribution and logistics area of the supply chain and has deep knowledge in the business processes and solutions in this space. Farah Simonett is a communications, marketing and creative services professional with more than 15 years of progressive experience in not-for-profit healthcare and membership organizations.

As the Healthcare Distribution Alliance’s (HDA) Vice President of Communications and Marketing, Farah serves as primary content strategist, executive speechwriter, media spokesperson and editor-in-chief for the national association representing healthcare distributors. HDA members are the vital link between 1,400 manufacturers and nearly 330,000 providers, delivering more than 11 million medicines and healthcare products safely and reliably each day.

Since joining HDA in 2008, Farah has led numerous communications and marketing programs across the association, including the rebranding of HDA, the launch of the organization’s award-winning Health Delivered campaign and Allied Against Opioid Abuse initiative. She is a trusted advisor with the proven ability to lead teams under pressure, on deadline and through crisis.

Farah is passionate about communicating to audiences across a range of mediums.Most recently, she has directed efforts to spotlight the distribution industry’s value proposition through enhanced storytelling and member engagement. Over the past few years, she has covered HDA members' response to the COVID-19 crisis as well as launched the association’s Faces of the Supply Chain video series. Sean Spears serves as the Senior Director of Trade and Pharmacy Relations. In this role, Mr. Spears is responsible for business to business interactions with Eisai’s Direct Wholesale and Specialty Distributors along with downstream retail pharmacies and chains.

Mr. Spears is responsible for executing fee for service agreements for all direct Eisai customers. In addition, Sean is responsible for overseeing returns management, third party logistics, and data aggregation. He collaborates closely within Eisai that include Regulatory, Legal, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Compliance to build programs that help patients and pharmacists with compliance and persistency programs. His team also is responsible to launch Eisai products into the supply chain.

Mr. Spears has served as Co-Chairman for the Center for Healthcare Supply Chain Research and is active on customer advisory boards for Amerisource Bergen and H.D. Smith. He is also serving on HDMA’s Industry Relations Council.

Prior to joining Eisai in 2005, Mr. Spears had a long and successful career, starting in 1981, with Bertek Pharmaceuticals. He began his career as sales representative in Indiana and held many management positions including Regional Sales Manager, Hospital Sales Director, and Executive Director, Payor Markets.

Mr. Spears holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Hanover College, and has completed the Eisai Leadership University at Wharton School of Business.

Mr. Matthew J. Strait is a 20 year veteran of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). His contributions to the DEA spans several regulatory roles specifically relating to entities authorized to possess controlled substances, currently surpassing 1.85 million nationwide. These roles include such activities as: importation, exportation, manufacture, distribution, prescribing, and dispensing.

Since 2017, Mr. Strait serves as chief policy advisor for the Diversion Control Division. He is the senior advisor to the Assistant Administrator on a broad range of policy issues impacting the DEA’s vast registrant population.

From 2015 - 2017, Mr. Strait directed day-to-day operations of DEA’s Congressional Affairs Section. The section responsible for assistance to the United States Congress on comprehensive legislation action. From 2009 to 2015, Mr. Strait served in the Congressional Affairs Section as a liaison where he worked to address important policy goals, including: drug disposal, synthetic drugs, anabolic steroids, quotas, and access to controlled substances by emergency medical professionals.

From 2004 - 2009, Mr. Strait served as the Unit Chief of DEA’s Quota and UN Reporting Unit. The unit responsible for oversight and adjudication of quota applications filed by DEA-registered manufacturers of schedule I and II controlled substances. Prior to 2004, Mr. Strait served as a Drug Science Specialist in the DEA’s Drug and Chemical Evaluation Section. This section began his DEA career in 1999 and where he fulfilled many of DEA’s reporting obligations pursuant to various United Nations’ treaties.

Mr. Strait graduated from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Virginia Tech with both a Bachelor (’95) and Master of Science (’97) degrees.

Ann Marie Suter is a certified crime prevention coach. When it comes to close calls related to being a victim, Ann Marie may hold the world record if there was one. At a very young age Ann Marie could recognize when something was “off” in a situation. She would acknowledge the signs and signals and escape the danger.

After hearing of a brutal attack in a nearby community, Ann Marie decided it was time to share her experiences and strategies with others. Teaching others how to make prudent decisions, avoid crime and deescalate potentially dangerous situations is her personal mission. You may not be born recognizing and listening to your intuition but you can develop and sharpen it at any time.

Ann Marie is the lead instructor of her company Code Red Solutions, LLC. She advocates for all people to take charge and become their own first line of defense. She lives in a western suburb of Chicago with her husband Brad, four children and her German Shepherd.

Stephanie Trunk is a partner in the Health Law Group at Arent Fox LLP in Washington, D.C. Ms. Trunk counsels pharmaceutical and device manufacturers, distributors and their customers on regulatory, reimbursement and compliance matters. Her practice extends to counseling on drug pricing and government price reporting, HIPAA and privacy matters, counseling on Medicare Part D, developing corporate compliance programs, representing clients in contract negotiations and providing transactional support to her clients.

Prior to joining Arent Fox LLP, Ms. Trunk was in-house counsel to a pharmacy benefit management company. Ms. Trunk is the author of numerous chapters in health law treatises including a chapter on Controlling Fraud, Waste and Abuse in the Medicare Part D Program in the ABA/BNA's Health Care Fraud and Abuse: Practical Perspectives.

She received a JD with Highest Honors from the George Washington University Law School in 2003. Ms. Trunk also has a graduate certificate in health management from the George Washington University School of Public Health (2003) and she received a BS in Accounting Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland in 1997.

Brian Waldman concentrates his practice in the area of food and drug law and advertising law, counseling clients primarily on pharmaceutical, medical device, food, dietary supplement and cosmetic issues, with particular emphasis on developing effective strategies for introducing and distributing new products. Brian advises clients on a broad range of legal and regulatory issues in all phases of a product’s life cycle, including (i) developing appropriate strategies for the introduction of new ingredients and finished products, (ii) coordinating pre-market safety, efficacy, and claims evaluations, (iii) preparing FDA-related applications and notifications, (iv) designing compliant and effective labeling, advertising, and promotional materials, as well as educational materials, (v) ensuring post-marketing regulatory compliance, including compliance with adverse event reporting requirements and limitations on off-label promotion, and (vi) responding to threatened enforcement action. Elizabeth Waldorf is Director of Global Traceability and Standards at TraceLink. She is responsible for transforming global regulatory serialization and traceability regulations into product requirements for TraceLink’s portfolio of track and trace solutions. Elizabeth is a key contributor to TraceLink’s delivery of US, Brazil, China, South Korea, EU, Russia, India, Bahrain, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan government compliance modules. Elizabeth is focused on transforming country regulations into standardized models for traceability implementations.

Starting before the US DSCSA regulation was passed, Elizabeth has been driving pharmaceutical compliance at the state level. Her effort has continued through the passing of the US DSCSA regulation to the present day. A believer in achieving interoperability and operational efficiency through standards, Elizabeth’s editorial contributions include the following guidelines: “GS1 US Implementation Guideline for Applying GS1 Standards for DSCSA and Traceability (release 1.2)”, “GS1 US Implementation Guideline for the GS1 Lightweight Messaging Standard for Verification of Product Identifiers (releases 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2)”, and “GS1 US Applying GS1 System of Standards to Pharmaceutical Chain of Custody (releases 1.0 and 1.1)”. With a vigilant eye towards accelerating onboarding of trading partners for DSCSA message exchanges using EPCIS, Elizabeth collaborated to develop the GS1 US Rx EPCIS Conformance Testing Program. Committed to industry pharmaceutical compliance readiness, she is working towards the development of future releases of implementation guidelines to reflect evolved requirements and learnings.

With a passion for thought leadership, Elizabeth joined the GS1 US Healthcare Executive Leadership team and has taken on various leadership roles spanning GS1 US and GS1 Global. She currently co-chairs the GS1 US Rx Secure Supply Chain workgroup and GS1 EPICS/CBV 2.0 MWSG. As a member of GS1 Architecture team, Elizabeth serves as the GS1 Architecture liaison to GS1 Mission Specific Workgroups for EPICS/CBV 2.0, Pharmaceutical Clinical Trial Processes and Biological Samples. Elizabeth previously co-chaired the GS1 Brazil Traceability, Global Traceability Standard, and the GS1 Lightweight Messaging Standard workgroups.

Elizabeth is also an active leader in other industry and standards organizations including Partnership for DSCSA Governance (PDG), Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) and serves as tri-chair of the Open Credentialing Initiative (OCI)’s Policy and Architecture team. She brings together her multi-discipline experience to advance and accelerate the delivery of specifications and adoption of interoperable standards. Before joining TraceLink, Elizabeth led Amgen’s global serialization and traceability initiatives, and drove adoption of GS1 standards across the company. In her 20-year tenure at Amgen, Elizabeth held numerous senior leadership roles managing cross functional teams in Global Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Enterprise Architecture, and Finance. Her leadership style and operational excellence mindset combined with business and information systems background have resulted in many successful implementations of process re-engineering and automation initiatives.
